I agree there are positive and negatives. We proved we can make ourselves visible. We got the administration to say many of the right words. The actions we have seen in the past have not measured up to those words, so now perhaps with continuing effort we can hold the administration to what they have said they believe and support. If Obama wins, perhaps we can lobby for some White House Conference that is less talk and more demonstration by some of our exemplary school librarians.

Loved your reflection! I always enjoy meeting people in real life and then continuing the conversation through social media. It was super nice to meet you! Can't wait to hear how you are going to change the world! @akbusybee

I have been trying for weeks to sign this petition. I have an account, I log in, I go to the petition, and the little box to sign it isn't clickable. I log in again, and it takes me back to repeat the process. I am extremely frustrated. I've deleted my history, cookies, and cleared my cache/rebooted my system. I've also tried using every browser I know as well as several other devices. Any suggestions?

Please support school libraries. Libraries are places that children can choose books for free and expand their horizons. Because of budget cut backs in school districts and communities, school libraries need support for technology, reference material, and general collection.
