Linda Williams is on the ballot for ALA President. I met Linda about five years ago at a workshop for the @ your library campaign. She encouraged me to get involved in ALA. She mentored me through the committee appointment process and encouraged me as I ran for various offices. These simple acts demonstrate Linda’s passion for the profession and her commitment to getting others involved in ALA.

Linda possesses the vision that will further promote and develop libraries and our profession for the 21st century, and she possesses the experience, personality and skills to inspire others to work productively and cooperatively with her. Linda has worked in libraries for over 30 years at all levels of library service. Her commitment to the goals of libraries and literacy, her strong and proven leadership ability, and her genuine care and concern for individuals and the profession, all add up to one indisputable fact – Linda is the right candidate to lead the American Library Association.

To find out more about Linda, visit her website at: www.electlindawilliams.org. I’m confident that Linda Williams will be an amazing President for ALA. I urge all of you to vote in the ALA election and cast your vote for J. Linda Williams.
