The White House Petition for School Libraries – Next Steps

February 6th, 2012 No Comments

Last week was truly an exciting experience.  The petition for school libraries that I posted on the White House “We the People” site reached 25,000 signatures.  As of this moment, it is nearing 27,000.   I, along with many others, I could tell from Facebook and Twitter, were clicking the refresh button often as the ticker [...]

NSLPY 2011

December 2nd, 2010 Comments Off

Today I saw on AASL’s Twitter page that the deadline is soon for the National School Library Program of the Year Award (NSLPY).  Applications are due January 3, 2011.  That leaves a little more than a month (if you don’t include the holidays in there!) to write it all up and submit it. AASL Fall Forum

November 21st, 2010 2 Comments

I guess these posts are a little backwards.  The Forum was before the ILF conference, but I’m a bit behind with comment about it.  After the whirlwind travel month of October and early November, it has taken me a little while to get caught back up.  Anyway…..The Fall Forum was in Portland, OR and while [...]
